Color Derm

FAQ

Q: Is it safe?

A: Strict sanitation and sterilization guidelines are followed in accordance with the Center for Disease Control. Each needle is sterile, individually wrapped and never reused.

Q: Is it painful?

A: Steps are taken to ensure client comfort although everyone's tolerance level is different. Topical analgesics are used. Most clients agree that permanent makeup is well worth any slight discomfort.

Q: How will I know what I want?

A: Prior to any procedure a thorough consultation takes place determining color, shape and overall goals. You can also schedule a consultation appointment at no charge just to get more information about the procedures.

Q: How long does it take?

A: Procedures take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the service you have.

Q: Can I be allergic to the pigment?

A: Allergies are extremely rare. An allergy test 7-10 days before the procedure is available upon request. Pigments do not contain lead.

Q: Will it really last forever?

A: It is permanent, but it truly depends on many factors. Touchups are usually required in order to maintain the desired level of pigment coverage after a few years. However, depending on how much pigment is implanted, how your individual body metabolizes and also how much sloughing off of the epidermal (skin) layer one produces can determine the longevity of the pigment. Permanent cosmetic needles are finely ground to be less traumatic to the delicate layers of the skin and will implant the pigment exactly at the correct depth.
